Systems work when la vida flows—are yours working for you?🌱🔧

Hi Reader,

You ever have one of those moments where you realize you’ve been doing things the hard way for way too long? Yeah… me too.I used to think being on top of everything meant doing more, but lately, I’ve learned that real efficiency comes from doing less—strategically. My new theme? Working smarter, not harder.

💡 Here’s the thing—busyness isn’t the same as productivity. I used to pile my to-do list with everything under the sun, thinking that crossing off more meant I was accomplishing more. But in reality? I was just stretching myself way too thin, constantly jumping between tasks without real progress. And that? That wasn’t just draining my energy—it was weighing on my mental load.

For me, ADHD feels like an ongoing battle between what I want to do, what I need to do, and what my brain decides is important at any given moment. Some days, I feel like I can tackle everything at once. Other days? The smallest task feels impossible. That’s why I believe in seamless systems—not rigid, one-size-fits-all productivity hacks, but tools that actually adapt to how you function. A planner, an app, or a system isn’t about forcing yourself into a structure that doesn’t fit; it’s about creating a flow that works with your brain, not against it.

The Chrome Extensions That Changed My Workflow🖥️

Lately, Todoist (btw this is not an ad) has been a game-changer for me—not as a strict to-do list, but as a way to offload the mental weight so I’m not carrying everything in my head. 📝💭 It’s a Chrome extension that helps me quickly capture tasks, organize my workflow, and keep track of everything in one place. Some days, I check off every task. Other days, just writing things down is enough to help me feel less scattered. It’s not about perfecting everything—it’s about having a system that works with me, not against me.

That’s when I started using Speechify, a text-to-speech tool that lets me listen instead of read also another Chrome extension. With Speechify and Todoist working together, I can listen to important information while taking quick notes or creating tasks directly in Todoist. It’s the perfect Chrome combo 🔗 for staying productive without feeling overwhelmed. These tools weren’t just made for convenience; they were made for us to use in a way that works with our brains, not against them.

Productivity isn’t about doing more—it’s about creating systems that make la vida easier. Instead of struggling to keep up, I’ve found ways to let tech handle the heavy lifting so I can focus on what actually matters.

With love,
Ren ✨

Reader This week marks 5 years since I took the leap into freelancing—5 years of figuring it out, learning on the fly, and building something that felt true to me. It’s wild to think about how I started: no clear roadmap, just a laptop, a dream, and a lot of trial and error. Freelancing wasn’t just about making money on my own terms. It was about freedom, resilience, and growth—about proving to myself that I could create a career that fit my vision, not someone else’s. Was it easy? Absolutely...

That was simply the start of my healing journey and I began to dig deep into...
